Jason Ryan, Co-President

Jason is in the first year of his PhD in Engineering Systems: Human Systems Engineering here at MIT. During his Master’s in Aeronautics and Astronautics (also at MIT), Jason worked on developing the Deck operations Course of Action Planner (DCAP) system, used for planning aircraft tasks for aircraft carrier operations. Jason’s current research focus is on using simulation environments to make predictions of system safety in shared human-unmanned vehicle  environments under differing safety protocols and different vehicle control architectures.

Andrew Clare, Co-President

Andrew is a doctoral degree candidate in MIT’s department of Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. He obtained his Bachelor’s from MIT in 2008 in the field of Aerospace Engineering with Information Technology. His research focuses primarily on the development of effective decision support interfaces for a single human controlling multiple semi-autonomous, heterogeneous UVs with the help of an automated path planner that the operator can adjust mid-mission.
